In a historic result, Nottingham Playhouse and Orange Tree Theatre in London shared the prestigious title of Theatre of the Year 2025. Both venues were honored for their exceptional programming in 2024, which included a successful mix of classic revivals and exciting new productions. Judges highlighted their strong leadership and impressive ticket sales as key factors for the win.

Michael Harrison Wins Producer of the Year

Leading West End producer Michael Harrison was awarded Producer of the Year for his work on major productions, including the acclaimed revival of Sunset Boulevard starring Nicole Scherzinger. His company, Michael Harrison Entertainment, continues to drive some of the most successful shows in London theatre.

Michael Patrick Receives Judges’ Award for Powerful Performance

One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony came when Michael Patrick was honored with the Judges’ Award. After being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2023, Patrick adapted and starred in a unique version of Shakespeare’s Richard III, performing from his wheelchair. His performance was praised as “truly astonishing” and a remarkable example of resilience in the arts.
